Target Project 2008_Noticias 2010 |
|
This is the School after the improvment work on March 2010
2008 class holding letters sent by children from the Waggoner Elementary School of Winters, California, thorugh ChileCAD.
Our objective for the year 2008 is to raise funds to buy a School Bus for a rural school in Los Notros county, between Santa Bárbara and Ralco, VIII Region of Chile. Ralco is a remote area that presents high incidence of poverty, 28% while the overall estimate in Chile is 19%. Here 46% of the population lives in rural areas, many in high altitudes which become isolated for long periods of time by snow storms, often cutting some basic sanitary services such as drinking water, telephone and electricity. The G-967 School serves currently 23 boys and girls and two teacher work there. We have created a partnership with the Women's Rotary Club of Santa Bárbara and with the City Government of Santa Barbara to provide buy a School Bus for the G-967 school.

The Children of Los Notros have New Computers!!!
Thanks to the effort of many volunteers from ChileCAD, our association was able to donate two computers to its sponsored school (G-967) in Los Notros, Bio-Bio, Chile. The computers were bought in Chile and installed by Ricardo Verdugo on April 10th 2008.
The 23 students of the 2008 class are grateful and would like to say THANK YOU to all the people that made this donation possible.
